These Horn Speakers are designed to "throw" the sound out over distances. They are used where announcements and background music are played at large venues or outdoors. The mid and highs are optimized most because they contain the most musical information including the vocals. The offer better sound dispersion and "longer throw" than conventional speakers, but they have a limited frequency range and thus does not sound as good as conventional loudspeakers.
